Objective: Delegates will gain a comprehensive understanding of the system, sufficent to implement and/or use the system in a structured,efficient and cost effective way.
Overview: The delegate will be taught to create purchase orders, receive goods, invoice check, return goods, create budgets. The course also contains a comprehensive management reporting section and essential control functions such as security and data backup.
Audience: Suitable for anyone who needs a complete understanding of the capabilities of FrontLine or for those who intend to implement and control the system. e.g. maintenance managers, purchasers, engineering staff
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the concepts of Windows systems. Basic keyboard skills and the ability to use a mouse.

Detailed Content:

Introduction & Navigation

A brief overview of the system’s functions and processes supported, coupled with some basic windows navigational hints and tips.

Search and Selection

Locating purchase orders and requisitions, by use of the main screen and filter. Checking on order details, costs, deliveries, invoices etc.

Adding Purchase Orders

Generating new requisition/order headers, adding line items, approving orders and printing.

Goods Received

Receiving goods against an order, amending original order quantities, generating receipts.

Invoice Checking

Checking the cost of received items against the original order value, amending prices, adding additional delivery charges and processing credit notes.

Returning Goods

Returning goods against a delivery, generating despatch notes.

Automated Re-ordering

Generating an automated order file using stock record information, editing and processing the data to produce purchase requisitions and orders.

Purchase Budgets

Creation of purchase budgets, and reporting of actual spend.

Standard Reports & Design

Running standard reports, selecting, sorting, printing and exporting data to other systems. Designing your own reports using basic report templates.

System Control & Administration

For key users: Code tables, financial control, processing rules, creating new users, security access, password control, general management and data backup.
